BED Nimman, Chiang Mai

A little hotel that does everything right

BED Nimman is a great little hotel. They have a few locations around Chiang Mai, I was tempted to choose the one in old town but the allure of being in Nimman area was just too good to resist. From the outside it’s not the most noticeable place, as it’s on a small soi and the building’s covered with greenery. Walking in, you know it’s not a big hotel, the reception counter is small but that’s all it needs. What you immediately notice is a wall of refrigerator with stacks of small glass water bottles. The receptionist tells me you can open the fridge and grab anything you like whenever you like, whether it be water, snacks, instant noodles, etc. And furthermore each floor has more fridge for when you want to take more water. There’s a lot of emphasis on free water and refrigerator here like I have not seen in other hotels.

The best part

The breakfast here really is the highlight. Everyday they make something different and it’s all healthy and delicious, you will never get bored even if you stay many days of the breakfast variety here. 

The room

The room is simple but very nice, there’s a 55inch TV where you can log in to your Netflix or YouTube account. I especially love that they have a wall of refrigerator at the lobby where you can grab water, drinks, snacks any time you’d like, complimentary on the house. Tea and coffee in the lobby also complimentary, plus every floor has a fridge with more water that you can take. All the water bottles are glass bottles that can be cleaned and reused, showing their friendliness to the environment. 

Nimman road location is super convenient

Location is very convenient, being in Nimman area you have so many shops and restaurants within walking distance. I didn’t;t use the swimming pool but it is a decent size and is surrounded by trees. BED Nimman really is a hotel that does everything right, and for the price it is amazing value. 

Airport proximity is a double edged sword

My only grouse here is that because it is quite close to the airport you can hear the noise of the plane in the room. This isn’t something that is within the control of the hotel and a trade off for being in Nimman area. I was told that this is a problem on one side of the hotel but not the other. So make sure you get the room on the quiet side when you book.

I would try their other locations for sure next time I go to Chiang Mai. Kudos to the team for making my stay a very good one.
