You’re going to Koh Chang/ Koh Kood/ Koh Mak, you decided to go there by car and it’s a 4.5 hour drive to the pier. That’s a pretty tiring ride whether you are driving or have a driver. May we suggest some places you can stop for lunch on the way to make the journey more tolerable?
Pa Ya Seafood, Rayong

2 hours from Bangkok, which is about a perfect half way point, you can stop in Rayong where there is a road that runs along a beach with many seafood restaurants lined up side by side on it. These seafood eateries are all very similar and offering pretty much the same menus, but the one that we keep returning to every time we’re here is Pa Ya seafood. The atmosphere is very rustic and you will see mostly if not all Thais in this area, making it the most authentic experience before you get on to one of the islands with many western tourists. If you set off from Bangkok around 9.30 or 10.00 this place will be the perfect lunch spot for you, as you should arrive around noon.
