As good as the local Thai food scene is in Hua Hin, there is just something about being by the beach that make people crave pizza. And there is definitely no shortage of pizzerias and Italian restaurants in town, we’d even say that it might be the second most prolific cuisine after Thai. So, let’s do a round up of 3 pizza places in Hua Hin and vicinity that we would in a heartbeat go to when that craving hits.
Trattoria by Andreas, Khao Takiab

Our top choice for Italian goes to Trattoria by Andreas in Khao Takiab (https://maps.app.goo.gl/kVxupDdYQ1HZUmA68), south of Hua Hin. It is next to Tamarind market, so the area is quite bustling with people. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor tables, but with so many people walking in front of the restaurant, we prefer sitting inside where it is more calm. The pizzas here are top notch, good selection of different pizzas and the dough has the best texture out of all the places we’ve tried in the area. Other dishes are also very good and well presented, and this is where you can see Trattoria is a more upscale Italian restaurant than most of the other places in Hua Hin. The only caveat is that it is outside of Hua Hin town, so if you don’t have a car having to take a can for 10 minutes each way could be a bit of a hassle. One tray of pizza here and water cost us 540 baht total.
Pizza Garden, Hua Hin soi 94

For a place that’s in town and easier to get to we’d head to Pizza Garden (https://maps.app.goo.gl/rYGENU3DTkzRnmb2A). It’s got a cosy outdoor setting and has a lively atmosphere. There is no air-conditioned zone here but we don’t mind that in the slightest since it’s a nice reminder that we are in a beach town after all. The pizzas here are on the crispier side, and we do like the char on the crust and the toppings. The price is also very reasonable, one tray of the pizza pictured above and one water came out to 456 baht. For its combination of delicious pizza, middle of town location, and good value, Pizza Garden is a great choice.
Dorigo, Nongplub road

Our final pick is Dorigo (https://maps.app.goo.gl/3kiWD4wrarfc5GHq8), which is also not far from the centre of town, and next to one of our favourite local Thai eats Nong May. Dorigo, compared to our other two picks, is more of a homey restaurant with homemade foods. The pizza dough here is lighter with less of a chew but we like its crispy exterior with the airiness. There is only air-conditioned seatings available here, and the place is quite small, just 4-5 tables.
